Methodology
How We Collect Pricing Data
TierDelta tracks pricing for 30+ popular AI tools by fetching data directly from official pricing pages. Our process ensures accuracy and transparency.
Data Collection Process
- Automated Fetching: We use automated tools to fetch pricing pages from official sources.
- Manual Verification: Each pricing plan is manually reviewed to ensure accuracy. We only record prices we can actually see and verify.
- Source Attribution: Every price includes a link to the official pricing page where it was sourced.
- Date Tracking: Each tool's pricing data includes the date it was last checked and verified.
- Unverified Marking: If we cannot verify a price from the official source, we mark it as "unverified" and never guess or estimate.
Verification Standards
✓ Verified
Pricing was successfully fetched from the official website and manually confirmed. The plan name, price, and billing period were all clearly visible on the source page.
⚠ Unverified
We could not automatically fetch or verify the pricing from the official source. Reasons may include: access restrictions, JavaScript-rendered pages, timeouts, or pricing pages that require authentication. We direct users to check the official website directly.
Price Change Tracking
We maintain historical snapshots of pricing data to detect changes over time:
- Daily snapshots are created when pricing is refreshed
- Changes are detected by comparing current prices against historical data
- Price increases and decreases are tracked and displayed on the Changes page
- All changes include the date they were detected
Limitations & Disclaimers
Always verify with official sources: Pricing can change at any time. We recommend confirming prices on the official website before making a purchase.
Regional variations: Some tools have different pricing in different regions. We primarily track US pricing.
Enterprise pricing: Many tools offer custom enterprise plans that require contacting sales. We cannot track these as they vary by customer.
Promotional pricing: Temporary discounts and promotions may not be reflected in our data.
Currency: All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise noted.
Affiliate Links
TierDelta may include affiliate links to some AI tools. This means we may earn a commission if you sign up through our links, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our pricing data, which is sourced directly from official pricing pages.
Our goal is to provide accurate, unbiased pricing information to help you make informed decisions about AI tools.
Updates & Corrections
We strive for accuracy, but pricing can change frequently. If you notice any incorrect pricing information, please check the official source first. Pricing is refreshed regularly, but may not reflect real-time changes.
Data Sources
All pricing data is sourced from official pricing pages. Each tool page includes a direct link to the official pricing source. We do not use third-party data or estimates.
